The Chelan Goats golf team closed out their home schedule in style on Senior Night, celebrating Carson Clinton, Grant Coonrod, and Luca Faletto in what turned into a memorable afternoon at the course.
With perfect conditions, warm temperatures and no wind, the stage was set for a strong showing in their final home match of the season against Omak. While Omak was unable to field a full team on either side, the Goats made the most of the opportunity, putting together an impressive day across the board.
Leading the way was senior Carson Clinton, who delivered a spectacular performance with a 69. In a fitting finish to his home career, Carson electrified the course with a chip-in eagle on hole 17.
The seniors played a major role in the team’s success, with Grant Coonrod carding a 94 and Luca Faletto adding a 92. Eighth grader Connor Draggoo continued his strong season, posting a personal record 88 and rounding out a solid varsity showing.
On the girls side, despite Omak not bringing competitors, Chelan’s athletes competed internally. Hallie Clinton continued her consistent play, shooting an impressive 86 and proving she’s settling comfortably into the 80s. Sydney Weston also turned in a strong round with a 96, showcasing her continued growth.
The JV squad took advantage of the day as well, gaining valuable experience over nine holes. Hunter Gresham led the group with a 55, while Logan Frahm recorded a season-best 63, highlighting the program’s depth and development.
With a busy stretch of matches now behind them, the Goats will look to recharge over the next two weeks as they prepare for postseason play.
