Chelan Lady Goats Sweep Omak, Clinch Ninth Straight League Title

The Chelan Lady Goats traveled to Omak on Tuesday night and earned a 3-0 sweep over the Omak Pioneers, winning 25-23, 25-16, 25-21. The victory also secured the Goats’ ninth consecutive Caribou Trail League title, continuing an impressive run of dominance in league play. Omak kept things competitive in the first and third sets with long rallies and tough serving, but the Goats found a way to close out the match despite a slow start and some offensive inconsistencies.

Cataleya Phelps led the Chelan offense with 19 kills, while Brooklyn Foyle orchestrated the attack with 36 assists and added three service aces. Defensively, Alison Horner recorded 16 digs and Jayzee Hughbanks contributed 12 digs. Gracelyn Roberts added six kills, and Faryn Huewe chipped in seven to help secure the sweep.

Head Coach Abby Lewellen praised her team’s ability to earn the win on the road, noting the challenge of playing at Omak and the Pioneers’ continued improvement throughout the season. She also recognized Omak’s strong serving and competitive play.

The Lady Goats improve to 10-3 overall and 3-0 in league play with the victory and add another Caribou Trail League championship to their growing legacy.
