EPHRATA, WA – The Chelan Goats Track and Field team returned to Ephrata on Saturday, March 28, 2026, to compete in the 50th Ray Cross Invitational. Following a successful season opener earlier in the week, Chelan athletes continued to show progress, recording several top finishes and new personal bests against a large field of regional teams.
Highlight Performances
The Goats had another strong day in the mid-distance and distance events. Holden Alteio led the boys’ team with a 1st place finish in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:06.48a. For the girls, Indy Fielding took 2nd place in the 800m with a personal best of 2:24.87a and also placed 5th in the 400m.
In the field events, Bryce Ware cleared 5′ 6″ in the High Jump to earn 5th place. Noah Kanehen also cracked the top ten in two events, taking 4th in the 400m with a personal best of 54.71a and 8th in the Javelin (138′ 4″).
Relay Results
Chelan’s relay teams put together solid performances throughout the day:
- Boys 4x400m Relay: Finished 4th (3:46.32a) with the team of Holden Alteio, Noah Kanehen, Bryce Ware, and Levi Kanehen.
- Girls 4x200m Relay: Earned 6th place (1:59.26a) featuring Francesca Alteio, Reeghan Evans, Avari Barker, and Makenzie Culver.
- Girls 4x400m Relay: Placed 11th (4:58.54a) with Evelyn Sanchez Blanco, Cali Whiteman, Abby Ludwig, and Charlotte Ensminger.

- 3200m: Fernando Saucedo (12th – 11:56.40a PB)
- Discus: Boston Brown (9th – 128′ 2″)
- 300m Hurdles: Edison Garton (16th – 52.52a PB)

Women’s Highlights:
- 3200m: Abigail Ludwig (6th – 14:23.41a)
- Javelin: Natalie Coy (6th – 91′ 1″)
- 100m: Reeghan Evans (17th – 14.14a PB)
- Long Jump: Leilani Fernandez-Avila (13th – 13′ 6″ PB)
