Chelan Volleyball Wraps Up Dominant Week with 4 Victories

The Chelan Lady Goats Volleyball team put together an impressive week of play, earning four victories in commanding fashion over Omak, Okanogan, Cascade Christian, and Colfax.


Chelan vs. Okanogan
Scores: 25-10, 25-10, 25-8

Chelan opened the week on the road at Okanogan, sweeping the Bulldogs in three quick sets. The Goats controlled the tempo from start to finish with a balanced attack and strong team energy.

Coach Lewellen said, “I’m super proud of how we played collectively as a team tonight. We played very efficiently with minimal errors, had lots of girls playing different positions and more than anything, we had great energy as a team. Overall, it was a lot of fun!”


Chelan vs. Cascade Christian
Scores: 25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22

In one of the week’s most competitive matchups, the Goats faced a talented #6 Ranked Cascade Christian team and came away with a hard-fought 3–1 victory. The match tested Chelan’s resilience as they battled through extended rallies and a tough defensive opponent.

Coach Lewellen commented, “What a great match between two very talented teams. Cascade Christian did a great job of pushing us and making us feel uncomfortable with their relentless defense, but in the end we were able to pull together and come up with a team win.”


Chelan vs. Colfax
Scores: 25-10, 25-14, 25-17

Chelan closed out the week with another sweep—this time over the Colfax Bulldogs. The Goats’ dominant serving and clean execution kept Colfax on its heels throughout the match.

Coach Lewellen reflected, “As the stats show, we were dominant from the service line during this match which allowed us to maintain control from beginning to end. I thought our team did a great job of controlling the controllables and executing throughout the match.”


With this week’s strong performances, the Lady Goats continue to prove why they remain one of the top volleyball programs in the state. They close out their regular season on Tuesday at Manson High School before moving ahead to the District 5 Tournament on November 1st.
