CHS Softball Season Comes To An End at State Tourney

The Chelan Mountain Goats softball season came to an end Thursday at the 1A State Tournament with a 10-0 loss to the Seattle Christian Warriors.

The Goats battled throughout the afternoon, collecting four hits against a tough Warriors squad. Denali Corrigan and Faryn Huewe each went 1-for-2 at the plate, while Cat Valdez finished a perfect 2-for-2 with a double.

While the season ended sooner than the Goats hoped, this team cemented itself in Chelan softball history. Chelan qualified for the state tournament for the first time in 11 years, an incredible accomplishment for a program that did not even have a team just four years ago.

This group helped restore pride and excitement in Chelan softball, setting a new standard for the future of the program. The resilience, commitment, and growth shown by these athletes throughout the season will not soon be forgotten.

Congratulations to the Chelan Mountain Goats on a historic season and an unforgettable run. We look forward to the future of Mt. Goat Softball!
