
Chelan High School Volleyball Signing Spotlight
Chelan High School is proud to recognize two exceptional athletes who have earned the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Division I level in beach volleyball: Brynn Hughbanks and Marley Williams.
Brynn Hughbanks – Florida State University
Brynn becomes Florida State’s first-ever beach volleyball recruit from the state of Washington, an achievement that reflects her outstanding talent, drive, and competitive spirit. A dominant force for the Chelan High School indoor team, she was named CTL Volleyball Player of the Year, leading the Goats with her all-around skill and leadership.
Competing with KBeach VBC, Brynn has made her mark nationally as well. She captured first place at the p1440 U18 Gold National Championships alongside current FSU freshman Lennox Langham. She also earned two bronze medals—one at the AAU U18 Gold with future Seminole teammate Addison Junk, and another at the AVP U18 Gold.
Florida State Head Coach Brooke Niles shared her excitement for the incoming class, noting their “outstanding work ethic, athletic ability, and competitive drive”—qualities Brynn embodies as she takes her talents to one of the nation’s premier beach volleyball programs.

Marley Williams – University of Texas at El Paso
A four-time state champion and a versatile athlete, Marley Williams brings a blend of indoor success, athleticism, and rapidly rising beach experience to UTEP. A three-year varsity letterwinner for Chelan volleyball, she earned Second Team All-League honors as a sophomore before elevating to First Team All-League recognition in both her junior and senior seasons.
Off the court, Marley excelled academically as a four-year honor roll student, showcasing the discipline and work ethic that define her athletic career. On the beach, she continued to shine with Kokua Beach Volleyball, helping lead the program to the 2025 AAU Club vs. Club National Championship, a significant achievement that reflects her growing impact in the sport.
At UTEP, Marley joins a rising program eager for her energy, athleticism, and championship pedigree.
