Chelan vs Eastmont at The WRAC (non-league)

I’m very pleased with how today played out.  Most players on both squads had a close competitive match that required focus, strategy adjustments and grit.  We love playing that extended 4A format and giving a bunch more Chelan kids a shot to compete in a varsity match!

#2 Doubles:  Reese Bordner/Josie Bekel (C) def Emily Suydam/Isla Chapman 7-4 (7-4), 4-6, 6-4

#3 Doubles:  Ellie Gale/Berkeley Howe (E) def Betsy McLemore/Ruby Harberd 6-1, 6-4

The Lady Goats were able to “steal” this win against a quality 4A girls program primarily because Chelan won all the split-set 3-setters.   Any less mental toughness and this could have been a 6-1 Eastmont win.   Props to Estee, Keely, Reese and Josie for being clutch and gutting out some long sets to secure the victory.   The Chelan girls move to 7-1 on the season.

The Chelan boys keep pace with the girls team, also improving to 7-1 here in 2026.
