Goats Beat Bulldogs in Okanogan 23-7

The Chelan Goats softball team continued their strong start to the season on Thursday, improving to 8-2 overall with a commanding 23-7 win over the Okanogan Bulldogs on the road.

The Goats’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with five hitters collecting two or more hits in the game. Jayden Elliott, Denali Corrigan, Olivia Mack, Grace Roberts, and Maddi Stewart each had big days at the plate, leading a well-balanced attack from top to bottom. Elliott and Roberts powered the offense with 3 RBIs apiece, while an impressive 9 of Chelan’s 10 hitters drove in at least one run in the game.

In the circle, the Goats showcased depth and control. Grace Roberts got the start, with Krista Carlton providing relief, and Faryn Huewe making her first appearance in the circle as a Goat. The trio combined for an outstanding performance, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 5 over 5 innings of work.

Chelan will look to keep the momentum rolling as they travel to Brewster this Saturday, April 18th for a non-league doubleheader against the Bears.
