The Chelan Goats softball team delivered an explosive performance at home yesterday, overpowering the Okanogan Bulldogs 36-6 in a non-league matchup.
The Goats’ offense was firing on all cylinders from the start, piling up runs in bunches and keeping constant pressure on the Bulldogs’ defense. Leading the charge was Olivia Mack, who had a perfect day at the plate going 5-for-5 with 6 RBIs. Jayden Elliott and Maddi Stewart each contributed 3 RBIs, while Kloe West, Jayden Simmons, and Faryn Huewe added 2 RBIs apiece in the dominant win.
Denali Corrigan put together a historic performance, hitting for the cycle for the second time this season. She finished with an incredible 8 RBIs, punctuated by a grand slam home run to cap off the cycle and highlight a huge day for the Goats’ lineup.
In the circle, Chelan used a trio of pitchers—Olivia Mack, Maddi Stewart, and Krista Carlson—who combined over five innings to limit Okanogan to 6 runs while recording 7 strikeouts.
The Goats will look to carry this momentum on the road as they travel to Okanogan on Thursday to complete the two-game series, before heading to Brewster on Saturday for a doubleheader.
