Goats Sweep Brewster in Non-League Softball

The Chelan Mountain Goats softball team stayed hot on Saturday, sweeping a league doubleheader on the road against Brewster with dominant wins of 15-0 and 25-11. With the pair of victories, the Goats improve to 10-2 on the season.

In Game 1, Chelan put together a complete performance highlighted by a combined no-hitter in the circle. Olivia Mack set the tone, throwing four hitless innings while allowing just one walk and striking out six. Krista Carlton came on in the fifth to shut the door, sealing the no-hitter and the 15-0 victory.

At the plate, the Goats’ offense was firing on all cylinders. Henley Gardner went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored, while Jayden Elliott added a 2-for-4 performance that included a triple and 3 RBIs. Jayden Simmons also had a big game, going 2-for-4 with a double and a triple as Chelan rolled to the shutout win.

Game 2 turned into a high-scoring battle, but Chelan’s offense proved too much once again in a 25-11 win. Grace Roberts got the start in the circle, striking out eight over four innings. Carlton added two innings with four strikeouts, and Mack closed out the final inning with one more strikeout to secure the sweep.

Offensively, the Goats erupted for another huge performance. Denali Corrigan led the charge, going 4-for-5 with three doubles, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Olivia Mack was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and 4 RBIs. Faryn Huewe added a 4-for-6 effort with 4 RBIs, while Jayden Elliott chipped in with two hits and 3 runs scored.
