Softball:
The Chelan Goats softball team picked up a big sweep over the SCAC 1A league Naches Valley Rangers in a doubleheader yesterday, improving to 4-1 on the season.
In Game 1, the Goats leaned on a dominant performance in the circle from Olivia Mack, who tossed a complete game shutout in a 4-0 victory. Mack scattered just three hits while striking out five and walking one over seven strong innings. Offensively, Chelan got timely production from Henley Gardner, who went 1-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, and a stolen base, while Jayden Elliott added a hit and drove in two runs to pace the attack.
Game 2 turned into an offensive battle, but the Goats came out on top 14-11 to complete the sweep. Chelan’s lineup delivered up and down the order, highlighted by Olivia Mack’s perfect 3-for-3 performance with three RBIs and two runs scored. Faryn Huewe had a huge game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and five RBIs. Henley Gardner added a strong effort with three runs scored, while Jayden Elliott crossed the plate three times and Cat Valdez chipped in two RBIs.
With the sweep, Chelan continues to build momentum early in the season and will look to carry it forward as they travel to take on the Cashmere Bulldogs in a rescheduled matchup on Thursday.
Golf:
The Chelan Boys Golf team competed in a loaded field at the Gamble Sands Invite in Brewster yesterday, going up against a total of 154 golfers.

Freshman Gunnar Baker continued to gain valuable experience, finishing 70th with a solid round of 84. Jamisen Johnson carded a 98, while Luca Faletto came in with a 102, and Grant Coonrod rounded out the Chelan group with a 105.
