AJ Siemers, Eddie Garton, Gavin Tjeersdma, Sebastian Cisneros, Salvador De Leon, Johannes Lund, Gage Pucket, Nick Bahena, Julian Juan Garcia, and Charley Meneses all contributed team points through victories or forfeits. Maddoc Finch continued his strong night, picking up his second pin of the event at 175 pounds. Despite setbacks at 132, 157, and 285, the Goats maintained control and closed out the 52–18 league win.
“Our guys have been practicing hard, and it’s showing on the mat,” said the Chelan coaching staff. “We’re seeing that work translate into performance when it counts.”

Girls Basketball
The Chelan Girls Basketball team hit the road to face Liberty Bell in a non-league matchup and delivered a complete, well-rounded performance to earn a 64–44 victory. The Goats came out with energy and focus, setting the defensive tone early and jumping out to a 15–6 lead after the first quarter. Their pressure and execution on both ends of the floor carried into the second quarter, allowing Chelan to take a commanding 38–23 advantage into halftime.
Chelan continued to build momentum in the second half, controlling the tempo and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. A strong third quarter extended the lead to 58–33, as the Goats’ defense limited Liberty Bell’s offensive looks and forced key stops. With the game firmly in hand, Chelan maintained composure in the fourth quarter to close out the 64–44 win.
Brynn Hughbanks led the way with a dominant performance, pouring in 34 points and providing a steady offensive presence throughout the game. Jayden Simmons added 10 points, while Jayzee Hughbanks contributed 7. Faryn Huewe and Jayci Simmons each chipped in 5 points, and Ximena Chavez rounded out the scoring with 3.
The win provides positive momentum as the Goats prepare to return to league action. Chelan will travel to Omak on Tuesday the 13th to open the second round of CTL play, looking to build on this strong non-league performance.
Boys Basketball
The Chelan Boys Basketball team traveled to Liberty Bell for a highly anticipated non-league matchup between two ranked programs, with the Goats entering the game ranked 6th in the 1A standings and Liberty Bell ranked 2nd in 2B. Facing a tough opponent on the road, Chelan battled throughout the night but suffered their first loss of the season, falling 77–41.
Liberty Bell set the pace early, building an 22–8 lead after the first quarter and extending the margin to 35–18 by halftime. The Goats continued to compete in the second half, but Liberty Bell’s depth and scoring runs made it difficult for Chelan to close the gap. The Mountain Lions pushed the lead to 60–33 after three quarters and closed out the game with a 77–41 final.
Chelan was led offensively by Luca Faletto, who finished with 20 points. Trevor Faletto added 16 points, while Kale Wagner contributed 3 and Anthony Armenta chipped in 2. Despite the result, the matchup provided valuable experience against a top-ranked opponent and served as an early-season test for the Goats.
Chelan will look to respond quickly as they return home to host their cross-lake rivals, the Manson Trojans, on Friday night at CHS.
